Bike parks are fun, challenging, and healthy places for people to get exercise and develop new skills. They support a wide age range, from toddlers on run-bikes to any age that someone can still throw a leg over the bike. Riding a skills park is fun for all ages. A well-built bike park quickly becomes a favourite of nearly everyone who visits.
A skills park provides a safe and controlled area for cyclists of any level to practice the necessary skills to ride trails, obstacles and other features you may encounter on mountain trails. They contain small jumps, bridges and other obstacles to help practice balance and control while minimizing the chance of injury.

This is the vision (one of them). There is a wish list of features we want in our bike park that has been approved by Council in our Annual Operating Plan, which we are still working on incorporating into our bike park. This plan will constantly evolve until everything is set in dirt.
The annual operating plan is the Council approved document the C4 Trail Crew uses to guide its development in the bike park. It contains a wish list of technical trail features we plan to build and add to the park with an annual goal to add at least one new technical feature, as well as develop at least one new trail, or redevelop an old trail every year. Club Members can provide input for the plan at the C4 AGM, and new wish list items may be appended to it with the approval of the Parks and Recreation Committee.

Year 1 (2022) - 2 New trails; a wooden double roller; and a mini pump track.
Year 2 (2023) - 1 New trail; graduated dirt jumps; improvements to existing trails.
Year 3 (2024) - Find out what we're doing next at the AGM on November 22!
The C4 Trail Crew is responsible for implementing the Annual Operating plan following the priorities set by the Club at the AGM. The strategic plan is an evolving document that guides where the Trail Crew will build wish list items and new trails in the park.
Much of our inspiration comes from riding nearby biking bike parks, here are some of our favourites:
