100% of proceeds go towards building our local bike park!
The Cardston Community Cycling Club (C4) exists to encourage participation in mountain biking and other cycling activities, promote responsible and safe biking practices, and build and maintain mountain biking trails in Cardston and surrounding area. We are a group of avid cyclists who love to ride our bikes, and have a desire to make our community better! We are especially dedicated to getting kids active, espeically if it means on a bike!
C4 works to promote the sport of mountain biking by organizing rides, teaching mountain biking skills, developing trails and other areas for mountain biking within our community, and promoting responsible and sustainable mountain biking practices and land use.
C4 is actively implementing our 5 year annual operating plan, picking away at our wish list of ridable bike features in the bike park, as well as developing at least 1 new bike trail each year. The mountain bike skills park and a small network of trails are just off the new pedestrian and bicycle path at south end of Lee Creek Valley Park in an area we've dubbed,"Cardston West Creek Park" (see the "Plans" page). We have three established trails, a double roller, a mini pump track, and a progressive dirt jump-line! In addition to the bike park, C4 has also introduced the C4 Gran Fondo - an ultra endurance road bike race with 25km, 50km, 100km, and 140km events (see race.bikec4.com).
C4 grew out of a desire to build a local bike park for kids (young and old).
A handful of biking enthusiasts in Cardston who love to ride their bikes with their families in the mountains decided they needed a place to ride that was closer to home.
These riders incorporated as the Cardston Community Cycling Club (C4) at the end of 2021, and proposed a 1 year Pilot Project to Town Council for building bike trails and a bike park in the Lee Creek Valley. After a successful project, Town Council renewed their partnership agreement with the club and established an area for a bike park in the Lee Creek Valley. C4 is now developing the area for mountain biking.
